Over the past few months it would appear as though we have become slightly SPOD-sessed with every other 'post' and/or 'news item' on this 'website' somehow mentioning the iconic Sydney megastar.

This lust/love came to a climax last Saturday evening as the one-man party machine launched his fantastic new album Superfrenz.

The show was hyped up (in my mind) BUT it still delivered with SPOD somehow able to hit all of the key areas that turn an entertaining performance into a 'mind blenderizzzzering extravangzza'...

There was some Gameboy (or maybe Nintendo DS) breakdowns!

FREE cake!

Back-up dancing ladies!

Some Tucker B's!!!

Cat masks!

Some wild crowd interaction!

Stage props!

BUT above all the show featured Mr SPOD doing what he does best - orchestrating a party.

SPOD's music sounds damn fine on record, but it is still in a live setting that it comes alive, strips down to it's boxer shorts (or Ruggers) and throws streamers everywhere in a celebration of 'who gives a fuck-ness'.

And the full band version of Blubberponies was nothing short of orgasmic.
