Essential Festival 2009 line-up announced

In two double OH nine the Essential Festival will be moving from da slums of Devonshire St in Surry Hills to the beautiful land of Oxford Street, this year taking place across SIX rooms: Oxford Art Factory, Oxford Art Factory gallery room, Spectrum, 34B, Vegas Bar and QBar. Variety!

AND more importantly - DZ!!!! We missed the Brisbane ruffians when they were last down here (ie. no Tame Impala tickets were left) AND thus have been DYING to see them ever since. Who are DZ? DZ are THE future of music. FACT.

As it has since it began 40 odd years ago the festival will take place on the Anzac Day public holiday - April 25. The action kicks off about 3pm and runs until the wee hours (about 11pm). Tickets go on sale on Monday, March 16 via Moshtix and will set you back around $33.
