Raekwon unleashes eye-blazing new album artwork

The relaunch of this website earlier this week would have happened a bit sooner had the Internet not been temporarily broken after the release of the insane artwork for Raekwon's highly anticipated Only Built For Cuban Linx II.

Drill in for a super large version

Gold shackles, Jerry Springer billboard sign, decapitated Statue Of Liberty. Pwned.

BUT the 'design squad' in charge of the cover didn't just stumble on this brilliant little Photoshop explosion overnight. There were several other previously released artwork ideas which, when held next to this absolute head-numbing bit of brilliance, just don't cut the mustard.

First there was the gritty Wire-inspired drug deal gone 'oops' option...

Then they thought maybe they would remind folks of who Raekwon is/was with a shameless 'future' touch-up of the original Cuban Linx artwork...

The release date for Only Built For Cuban Linx II has (once again) been pushed back, with the record now set to be released on September 8 in the US, with the rest of the planet getting their serve not long after.

The latest leaked track, the (apparently) J-Dilla produced House Of Flying Daggers - featuring guest spots from fellow Wu-Tangers Inspectah Deck, Ghostface Killah and Method Man - is a total banger, sounding a little bit like a tougher, 2009 version of Clan In Da Front. Those will strong Googlebotting Kazzzzaa skills should have no problems hunting it down in some dark corner of the Webz.
