Rogers, Cheney, Jamieson and Pyke Dawg take on The Beatles

The Beatles?

Tim Rogers from You Am I, Chris Cheney from The Living End, Phil 'Ice Magic' Jamieson from Grinspoon and solo troubadour Josh Pyke Dawg are going to do the unthinkable - pretend they are The Beatles.

In August the foursome, accompanied by a giant 17-piece band, will play The Beatles' epic self-titled double LP (the 'white album') from start to finish, to celebrate the record's 40th anniversary (and also make some real serious ca$h).

They will play four East Coast shows on the tour - Hamer Hall in Melbourne on August 4, QPAC in Brisbane on August 6 and TWO big nights at the Sydney Opera House on August 7 and 8.

Tickets, which are rumoured to cost around $1000, go on sale May 22.

this sounds terrible on paper, like a train wreck... but I'm going to wait until I hear it before I judge... I assume they are going to release the songs on cd / dvd live set and everything else at some stage for more ca$hing in?!
