Mega Rampage has been cancelled?

According to this thread on the In The Mix forum the Mega Rampage event - which was scheduled to feature performances from the Wu-Tang Clan, Lil Jon, Good Charlotte and the Offspring - has been cancelled.

There is still no official statement from the organisers and the website is still advertising the event, which is/was scheduled for October 31 at Etihad Stadium, Melbourne. So, there is still an outside chance that this is all just a hoax and that the Wu-Tang Clan will announce a Sydney show (at somewhere good like the Enmore Theatre) any day now.

UPDATE: Access All Areas reports that Mega Rampage has been cancelled BUT "all the bands will now perform for one show only at the Festival Hall in Melbourne on October 31".

To be honest I would not be surprised if it had been cancelled... Really bad marketing, expensive tickets ($99-160).. it didn't really stand a chance... looks like ticketmaster has stopped selling tickets? or maybe just to me?

WU TANG definitely coming

Found this and it's on the Wu Tang site

So I suppose you’ve heard that the infamous MEGARAMP couldn’t make it to Australia so f*ck it, we’re having our own party! Coming to Melbourne’s Festival Hall on everyone’s favourite Americanised holiday, Halloween, this October the 31st are the scariest mother truckers to set foot in Australia – the WU TANG (USA) with support from the King of Crunk, LIL JON (USA), and more to be announced.

For the cynics out there who don’t believe WU TANG are coming out? Six members so far have signed their lives away to come here, have endured gruelling FBI checks and have been given the scrilla! Confirmed so far are: GZA, Raekwon, RZA, Ghostface, U God and Inspectah Deck, with more members to be confirmed (just waiting on immigration visas).

What was that about a ramp? We forget…

Tickets go on sale THIS THURSDAY 15th OF OCTOBER from Ticketmaster for $90 (or $100 for limited tickets at the door). Do not miss out!
Megarampage ticket holders can get a full refund from Ticketmaster then re-book to the Wu Tang show.

Zombie flash mobs welcome. Stay tuned for a Sydney show announcement!

Ghost face playing in Colorado on the 31st of October?? doesn't give him much time to get to Sydney nor Melbourne for a show.

I don't know what to believe anymore...

also i think method man just got arrested for tax evasion or something so i don't think he'll be showing up anytime soon... man i really want to buy these tickets but i'm afraid of being ripped off big time

Jonny Yes Yes

yeh.. still no confirmation on which members are actually coming..

i think it's a bit of a stretch even calling it a wu-tang show if ghostface and method man aren't coming.... and it does seem highly unlikely they won't be...
