My Disco set to play their last shows before heading overseas

By now you would probably be aware that math-rockers My Disco have landed the support role for the Battles tour in September. That's great news BUT as it turns out isn't even the half of it.

They will be playing a couple of shows in Sydney and Melbourne during September as well. These will be all ages events and will act as a farewell (for a while) as the band heads to the US to record their second album with the one and only Steve Albini!! Excitement plus..

And the shows..

Saturday September 8 - Melbourne
The Old Ballroom, Trades Hall (corner of Lygon and Victoria sts Melbourne City)
w/ Love Of Diagrams, Ninety-Nine, The Stabs and Majorca

Friday September 14 - Sydney
Black and Blue Warehouse (267-271 Cleveland St, Redfern)
w/ Wog, Dead Farmers and Bad Tables

Although the supports for the Sydney show aren't as tasty as the insane, diverse line-up that Melbournites are getting treated to it still looks very nice. Especially given the warehouse, house party venue. Both shows will be roughly $15 and, as previously mentioned, will be all ages events.

You will most likely be able to buy tickets on the door for the Sydney show but if you don't want to run that risk there is word that you will be able to pre-purchase tickets at Red Eye Records (King St, City) and Paint It Black Records (Enmore Rd, Enmore) from this Friday, the 10th of August.
