Peabody say goodbye to Sydney

During our recent billion word chat with Peabody frontman, Bruno Brayovic, he dropped this bombshell on us like a bomb and/or artillery shell on an unsuspected die-hard fan of a rock and roll band...

Peabody is the brain that never dies. Having said that, I am moving to France in January 2012 and am going to be there for a year, so Peabody will be taking its first hiatus in 17 years from January 2012 to January 2013. You read it hear first. Up until then, however, there will be gigs and other good times.

And a few more details surfaced during a recent impromptu Extended Unedited Album Version of that interview....

True to their word, the band will be going out on-hiatus with a bang, playing a bunch of shows around Sydney from now until BB says "bon voyage" to his beloved hometown. They'll be kicking off the 'farewell tour' this Friday at inner-city traditional-old-pub/cocktail-lounge-bar, The Rose Of Australia in Erskineville.

Friday, October 7

w/ Machine Machine and Man & Woman

Saturday, November 12
