Pivot to play low key farewell show at the Hopetoun

I remember about a billion-or-so years ago when rad bands like The Nirvanas and The Craig Nicholas Magical Four used to do crazy little 'secret' shows under random fictional alias band names in intimate venues around town. It was a blissful time.

Well, the good news is that those glorious days are BACK!! First the trendsetting Wolfcover did it a few a weeks back and NOW Sydney's finest instrumental trio Pivot are following suit, revealing that they will play a cosy (and most likely - sweaty) show at the Hopetoun Hotel on Wednesday, March 11.

The band will be playing under the name 'Fire Island' (apparently named after a magical island that is.. err.. on fire) and it will be their last performance on home soil before they head off overseas for a few months.

They will be joined on the night by up-n-coming wunderkids Seekae. Presale tickets cost $15 (+ bf) via Moshtix OR $20 on the door (although this will more than likely sell out pretty quickly).

As an added treat the group will be giving away a special O Soundtrack My Heart 7" tour only single to the first 50 people who buy tickets. Bonus!!
