Small Headlines: The Strokes, Fucked Up, Menomena, Death From Above 1979, 75 or Less

Heaps of little fellas towing a plane. Metaphors.

The Strokes have revealed that their fourth album, tentatively titled Angles, will be released on March 22. Albert Hammond Jr and Nick Valensi recently spoke to Rolling Stone about the record, but didn't give too much away other than saying that "[Angles] is the first one where we are truly working democratically". Urgh.

Fucked Up have revealed their Soundwave sideshows. They'll be supporting LA hardcore punks Terror at their Manning Bar, Sydney show on March 2, as well as opening up proceedings for The Bronx at their Melbourne show at the Corner Hotel on March 3.

Danny Seim and Brent Knopf of Menomena have spilt the beans to Local Cut about Knopf's recent decision to leave the band. And, according to Everyone, the split was "effective immediately", thus Knopf will not be playing at the band's forthcoming Australian shows.

Everyone has wasted plenty of time over the past 24 hours spaffing about how great the Coachella 2011 line-up is. Sure. You're gonna go? No. Ok then. BUT... the real exciting news from the announcement is that Death From Above 1979 are reforming to play at the festival. Let's hope it's a permanent rekindling. PS: fuck MRTRKKRFSDSF.

75 Or Less have just celebrated their ninth birthday and to mark the occasion they've decided to change their content focus slightly, branched out from their famous micro reviews to also cover news tidbits, live downloads and more. Slatch 2.0?
