This week in Sydney: Toydeath, Guineafowl, The Nevada Strange, Pikelet, Richard In Your Mind

Toydeath - kicking the world in the gash since forever.

Wednesdays are the new Thursdays. But Thursdays are the new Fridays. And Fridays, well they've been pushed back to Saturday and they're a lot quieter now. Saturday's are still a bit wild, but they now exist somewhere between 10am Sunday and 7pm Tuesday. Party zones got mad re-scheduling conflicts.

But TONIGHT The Weekend says "hello" with help from General Pants' Major Label showcase at Oxford Art Factory featuring Made In Japan, Under Lights and one of our fave local acts - Guineafowl. The event is INVITE ONLY but you can get on the guestlist simply by sending a polite email with your details (full name!) to [email protected]. Oh, and the icing on that Wednesday night latte - there'll be a post-show DJ set from that maniac fella - The E.L.F.

Thursday hosts a double feature at OAF (remember when Sydney had more venues?) featuring Pikelet vs Songs in the main room and some dirty undercard action - The Nevada Strange fighting Rice Corpse in the Gallery Bar.

FRIDAY! Yeah, what about it, right? Well, how about twenty bands for a hamilton ($20) as part of MUMs 3rd birthday party? Yes. AND Richard In Your Mind (aka There's A Dick On Yo Head, Fool) will be unleashing some of their fresh/new shit. AND The Go Roll Your Bones, (more) Guineafowl, Le Mancha Negra and billions of others.

Moving into the actual weekend - aside from the Whipped Cream Chargers doing the (honourable) zero dollars thing at OAF - Saturday is looking more flat than the surf report at Bondee.

Maybe it's best to save your energy for Sunday anyway, because the interactive fun-for-all-ages experience called TOYDEATH are performing at the CAD Factory. It's an early show too (4pm kickoff) so you'll more than likely be home in time to catch Underbelly: The Golden Power Wank Hour. Win.
