Sugar Army have also just been nominated for four WAMi's in the Most Popular Single/EP, Best Rock Act, Best Bassist and Most Popular Act categories.

To hear what they sound like (it's kind of hard to describe) give a listen to Podcast Episode 42 where we featured one of their tracks.

Word around the streetz (ie. the internet) is that Sydney lads, Youth Group, have nabbed the support slot for Interpol's tour next month. The Sydney show is on February 21 at the Hordern Pavilion.

Boudist has some great photos of the Youth Group fellas recording their new album in their home made studio at Waverton. The album is set to drop in April and a select few that have heard some of the new material have thrown words like 'shit hot' and 'rad' in our direction.

As we rumoured late last year, Jens Lekman will be returning to our shores in March to play a more extensive tour than the two date flyby he did recently. No dates and details concreted in as yet - but it has been confirmed that it will involve an appearance at the Golden Plains festival.

March will also see the Icelandic atmospheric masters, Múm, stopping in for a short tour.

Saturday, March 15: The Zoo, Brisbane
Monday, March 17: The Corner Hotel, Melbourne
Tuesday, March 18: Manning Bar, Sydney
Wednesday, March 19: Rosemount Hotel, Perth
