Canberra post-punks, Young & Restless, announced yesterday that they will be playing their last show together this Friday at the Arthouse in Melbourne.

The full statement from their MySpace blog:

Young And Restless has now been a band for four and a half years and consumed large parts of our lives. We never expected to make it as far as we have and we have been honoured and excited by all the interest and support from our friends, family, fans and fellow bands. Through relocating interstate, lineup changes, touring and recording we have all had our share of amazing times, but in the last few weeks it has become clear that this is the end of the road for our band. We will be playing ONE final show at the ARTHOUSE in Melbourne THIS FRIDAY 21/08/09 - if you can make it, please come down and get messy with us one last time.

The group's latest single Creeps is currently streaming on their MySpace. No word yet as to whether or not the song will get officially released.

Sean also has a review of their Spectrum gig from a couple of weeks ago, which as it turns out, was their final ever Sydney show.
