Border Thieves are a FRESH new Sydney band comprising of 50% ex Hand Me My Jetpack (which is really 50% ex I [love] Space and 50% ex Degrees K), 25% ex Bitchslap and 25% ex The Golden Age. They also contain about 8%, 14% sweat and 16% 'inner west'. The overall mathematical breakdown of the group is a little bit mind boggling.
The four-piece have just put together their first round of demos, recorded at the group's Inner "Westworld" studio space. Their sound is pop-focused rock, built around catchy riffs, more melodic darkness and a nice variety of vocal styles.
The group will play their first (official) show THIS FRIDAY, supporting Peabody at their album launch at Spectrum. You can also catch them next week down at World Bar with The Watt Riot.
