Making
Tundra

Saying that Making are a "little bit math rock" is like saying Colonel Sanders is a "little bit of a coke pusher". Secret ingredients. Cries for help and/or weak excuses for my current poor stature of dietary well-being aside, this Sydney trio's perfect mix of metronomic urgency and joyfully sporadic guitars is the perfect accompaniment as you jog through the suburbs attempting to run off those three lunchtime Zinger burgers.

Tundra is the band's most naturally scattered song on their three-track demo (which you can grab for free over at their Bandcamp). It travels from the safety of calm warm-up laps into a militant world of regimented single-file marching, before once more becoming side-tracked, double-downing itself at break-neck speed in the direction of coked-up Colonels and unhinged fuzz.

You can catch Making playing tomorrow night, alongside Little Lovers and The Silver Drops at the Town Hall Hotel in Newtown. Free entry with Making on first at about 9.30ish.
